I got a call from Cam this morning at some ungodly hour (around 9:00am). He asked me if I was close to AIM. He was very keen to meet up with me. He had just finished the score to Someone Else For A Day. ALREADY!!!! And he was dying for me to listen to it. So we arranged to meet at what is likely to become “production central” – the Strand Cafe in Croydon.

Sure enough, he presented me with a printed out copy of the score. He fired up his Mac and played me a version that he done in Sibelius. I must say I was blown away. He had stayed up till 3:00am doing this (get a life, my man, before it’s too late!!!). But it sounded so bloody good. It was awesome.

Suddenly, the ideas started coming out of the woodworks. His sister plays cello and could do the part easily. He knew where to get timpani from, and even his Mum could get hold of a choir. The whole project was suddenly taking on a completely new form. It felt perfect. The momentum increased like 700%.

He made a call to his sister, I made a call to the studio, and within minutes we had organised the cello recording.

After an hour he left, and I was left alone to contemplate some mighty big possibilities.
